Founding engineering team, based in London or Amsterdam.
The Engineering Lead owns the platform architecture; you own everything model-facing that runs on it. You design and ship the machine learning and large language model (LLM) systems at the core of the platform, including retrieval and agents, and build the ingestion, cleaning and reconciliation pipelines that use models to do work that would otherwise take a team of analysts. You also build the quality assurance layer that makes model-assisted output defensible, from unit and formula checks to anomaly detection and evaluating forecasts against outcomes. You have three or more years building data-intensive products for real users, with machine learning in production, and you have applied frontier models to problems without an established playbook. You are strong in Python and take code review seriously. Comfort building a usable interface is a plus.
