We are hiring the founding engineering team, based in London or Amsterdam.
You will work alongside energy modellers and experts seconded from Ember, the Energy Transitions Commission and Systemiq who already know the world's energy system and the questions that matter.
No legacy stack, inherited data model or old pipeline to keep alive. The architecture decisions are yours and your team's.
Ingestion, reconciliation and gap-filling run through model-assisted pipelines rather than manual analyst work. We are designing the quality assurance protocol that makes that defensible.
Code, methods and data are open, so what you build becomes a public portfolio. Three products land in the first six-month phase.
Own the platform architecture and lead the engineering team as it grows, reporting to the CEO. You have five or more years building systems for large, messy datasets, have designed a data platform yourself and are strong in Python.
View role →Own everything model-facing: machine learning and large language model (LLM) systems, data pipelines and the quality assurance layer. You have three or more years building data-intensive products with machine learning in production, and are strong in Python.
View role →We care more about what you have built than about the year counts. If you are short on years but can show the work, apply.
Write to [email protected] with examples of your work. Decisions within four weeks of applying.
