Founding engineering team, based in London or Amsterdam.
You own the architecture and build the platform everything else runs on. You decide how fragmented energy data becomes a reliable, queryable resource that models can run on, and you take it from design to a running system that external users rely on, with model runs that are versioned, reproducible and traceable to their inputs. You set the engineering standards from day one, work as the engineering counterpart to our senior energy modellers, and hire and lead the engineering team as it grows, reporting to the CEO. You have five or more years building systems that handle large, messy datasets, have designed a data platform yourself and can explain why you chose each tool. You are strong in Python, and experience with modelling, simulation or scientific computing is a strong plus.
